About Guillermo Anzorena

Guillermo Anzorena was born in Mendoza, Argentina, and studied singing at the Conservatoriy of Music of the National University of Cuyo. Various scholarships enabled him to study German lieder intensively in Argentina. Guillermo Anzorena has lived in Karlsruhe since 1994, where he completed postgraduate studies at the University of Music and training at the Opera School. His engagements as an opera singer have taken him to the Konstanz Summer Opera “RathausOper” and the Junge Oper Stuttgart, among others. His solo career has been accompanied by recordings and radio broadcasts, including with Südwestrundfunk (SWR) and the Junge Oper Stuttgart. Guillermo Anzorena has recorded several song cycles by Carlos Guastavino and performs internationally as a member of the Ostinato Foundation with works by contemporary Argentine composers. He has been a member of the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart since March 2000. Numerous concert tours with the ensemble have taken him throughout Germany and abroad. Since October 2000, he has been a lecturer in voice at the University of Church Music in Tübingen.
