About Jens Klimek

Born in Magdeburg, Jens Klimek began his musical career at the Landesgymnasium für Musik Wernigerode and studied English language and literature and school music at the University of Magdeburg. Back in Wernigerode, he began teaching music theory, ear training, composition, and music history in 2012. Since 2019, he has been artistic director of the local collegium musicum. His compositions have already won numerous awards, including prizes at the Composition Competition of the German Music Council (Deutscher Musikrat), the Radamisto Competition and the Valentin Becker Composition Competition in Bad Brückenau.
