About Iosif Ivanovici

Josef Ivanovici (ca. 1845-1902) stammt aus Rumänien. Zwar schrieb er über 300 Märsche und Walzer, aber lediglich seine "Donauwellen" haben Bekanntheit erlangt - diese dafür umso stärker und nachhaltiger. Das Stück war 1889 auf der Weltausstellung in Paris ein großer Erfolg und wurde auch einem rumänischen Film als Musik unterlegt.
