About Bernard Schulé

Bernard Schulé was born in Zurich in 1909. After attending the conservatory of music and the university, he went to Paris to study under Alfred Cortot (piano), Joseph Bonnet (organ), Nadia Boulanger and Paul Dukas (composition). He remained in the French capital for 29 years working as a music teacher, organist and choirmaster. He returned to Switzerland in order to give his full attention to composition and has lived in Geneva since 1960 where he died in 1996.
