Winter-Time
Product Details
Description
A setting of the poem by Robert Louis Stevenson (‘Late lies the wintry sun a-bed, A frosty, fiery sleepy-head’), Winter-Time was written by the choristers of Pembroke College Girls’ Choir, under the direction of Anna Lapwood. The piece takes a simple, but attractive and lilting melody on a wintery journey through the verses, adding descants and varied harmonies, not only in the flowing piano accompaniment, but also in some basic divsi within the upper voices. A secular carol, suitable for concert performance by developing to intermediate upper-voice choirs.
