"Walking-Time"

Johann Sebastian Bach's Suite in B minor for flute, strings and basso continuo is a very popular work, not only among flutists. The composer's main aim when composing this suite was to link the historic roots of the suite with current trends, movements and shapes. "Walking time" deliberately contains obvious musical associations with Bach's work and therefore borrows passages from it. The suite is an excellent opportunity for any flute ensemble to reveal new facets within the framework of a contemporary, individual interpretation.
