Description
Albert Franz Doppler (1821 - 1883) war ein bedeutender Komponist und Flötenvirtuose, der Konzertreisen durch ganz Europa machte. Für diese Konzertreisen schrieb Doppler zahlreiche Kompositionen. Das "Souvenir du Rigi" op. 38, das den Untertitel "Idylle" trägt, war allerdings nicht so sehr für das Konzertpodium gedacht sondern für die intime Atmosphäre des Salons, in dem die seltene Kombination Flöte und Horn besonders schön zur Geltung kam. Die Hornstimme kann auch vom Violoncello übernommen werden. So werden die Aufführungsmöglichkeiten noch einmal erweitert.
