Seeking You
Product Details
Description
Seeking You was commissioned by the Saint Louis Chamber Chorus, where Kerensa Briggs held a three year tenure as composer-in-residence. The text by Charles Anthony Silvestri tells of a weary traveller who journeys to meet the Christ Child in the manger, but also features an alternative secular version which could refer to the traveller at the deathbed of their long-beloved. Generally in strophic form to reflect the three verses of text, the piece visits a number of keys reflecting the narrative of the text. Although that might provide some challenge, it is written in four parts throughout (no divisi) and is primarily homophonic, and so is ideal for both intermediate and advanced choirs looking for new Christmas repertoire.
