Cérémonie de chœurs de Noël
Product Details
Description
Britten's much-loved Christmas choral classic is now available for performance in French for the first time. Maurice Budry translated the majority of the work, with Britten’s approval, and it was broadcast by Radio Romande on Christmas Day, 1964, by Chœur de Dames de Lausanne. The three missing movements have now been translated by Agnès Ausseur and Jalal Zaïm especially for this edition. Includes phonetic glossary (with modern English equivalent words) to assist native French speakers who wish to perform in the original English. Preface by Philip Reed (French and English), formerly of the Britten–Pears Library, Aldeburgh.
