Butterflying

It is hard to believe that this delicate musical beauty was originally written for the opening ceremony of a rugby world championship… The composer evokes in the string quartet version acoustic images of whirring wings and flying along lightly and dreamily, even more than in her other arrangements of the four-minute piece (for piano, children's choir or solo violin, among others).
