Ballet Scene

The Overture in E major and the Scène de Ballet are among the earliest works written by Sibelius for orchestra. Infused with all the freshness of youth, they also hint at the great symphonist to come. Sibelius’s handling of the orchestra is surprisingly refined and colourful.
