3 konzertante Sonaten aus op.2

The composer and publisher Franz Anton Hoffmeister (1754-1812) achieved a high reputation alongside the great masters Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven. His works, which appealed to the public's taste, were appreciated and played. Hoffmeister's extensive oeuvre includes 9 operas, more than 60 symphonies, songs, piano pieces and a large number of commercial works for a wide variety of instrumentation. The 3 sonatas presented here are taken from the "Six Sonates concertantes pour deux flûtes traversières" and are characterized not least by their joy of playing.
