Description
Several works by Detlev Glanert have premièred in Halle/Saale, including his children's opera "Die drei Rätsel". So it is small wonder that the "Internationales Kinderchorfestival Halle" (International Children's Choir Festival, Halle) commissioned Glanert to write a work for children's choir for its 2004 festival. The work catches the quiet nocturnal mood of the lyrical nature poem as well as the "Summen, murmeln, flüstern, rieseln" der "Quelle auf den Kieseln" und den "Bienen um die Linde" ("humming, murmuring, whispering, trickling" of the "spring on the pebbles" and the "bees around the lime tree").
