About Alexandra Greffin-Klein
Alexandra Greffin-Klein studied violin at the Royal College of Music in London. Important influences were Walter Levin (LaSalle Quartet), Günter Pichler (Alban Berg Quartet), the Arditti Quartet, and the composer György Kurtag. She has played with various quartets (Arditti, Diotima, Phidias, Parisii). She is also active in many chamber music ensembles (Cairn, Alternance, Multilatérale, Itinéraire, Sillage) and has been a regular member of the Ensemble Court-Circuit since 2012. She has worked closely with many composers and has been awarded a number of prizes for her recordings (In Vivo by Raphaël Cendo and Trait by Philippe Hurel, among others). Greffin-Klein lectures and gives master classes at many schools, such as the École Normale in Paris, New York University, Boston University, the New England Conservatory, the Eastman School of Music, the Munich Musikhochschule, the Beijing Central Conservatory, and the Birmingham Royal Conservatory. – www.alexgreffinklein.com
