About Volker Hoeh

Volker Höh is one of the most versatile German guitarrists.
As a soloist, with orchestras and in chamber-music groups he is at home on international and festival stages, often as cultural ambassador for the Goethe Institute.

He was born in 1959 in Altenkirchen (Pfalz) and studied ar the Academies of Koblenz and Münster. Further studies took him to Julian Bream, Leo Brouwer, Alberto Ponce, José Tomas and the pianist György Sebök. He has been distinguished with many stipends and other forms of sponsorship. The guitar-ensemble "cantomano", which he founded, has won prizes at national and international level.

Besides teaching positions at the University of Koblenz and the Music-Grammar-School of Rheinland-Pfalz (Montabaur) he works as editor and author for publishers and technical publications and as jury-member and teacher at international competitions and festivals.
