Introit for the Transfiguration

Vivid and arresting setting which reflects the astonishing event of the Transfiguration: "Splendour of the Father's glory, Charity unbounded! Lavish on us at this time the fullness of thy love." The work is cleverly composed so that it may be performed a cappella or with organ accompaniment, in which case the keyboard interludes add drama and breadth. A most welcome addition to the repertory for this religious feast-day.
